Updates and Tips to Clearing up your A/R

It’s been a year since the COVID-19 Virus came on the scene in America. Our lives, your practice, the care of your patients, and your billing were all affected. Where are we today? Some questions to ponder that this webinar will address:

  • What were the codes your practice utilized the most?
    • Telehealth office visits (99201-99215)
    • Telephone calls (99441-99443)
    • AWV  (G0438-G0439)
    • COVID-19 Specimen Collection (99211)
  • What issues did you have in receiving payment for these codes from your major carriers?
  • What are the documentation requirements for the above codes?
  • What are the billing requirements for the above codes?
  • What mistakes were made in the early days before we knew exactly what to do to bill these services correctly?
    • Have those mistakes all been corrected and full payment received?

As you look at the wealth of information that was developed and passed along to us by CMS/Medicare and other insurance payers you will first find two nearly 300 pages “final rule” documents CMS released in a 30 day period, all of our heads were spinning and we were trying desperately to get things done right,  Which didn’t always happen.

Now is the time to run reports and look back at what was done, was it done correctly and what can I do, on a go-forward basis, to correct any outstanding charges and to verify the correct payment of old ones. Now is also the time to look at your services with a critical eye for compliant documentation and other considerations the code restrictions may have had.

This informative COVID-19 webinar by Jill M. Young will address the important points and what all you have gone through or where you are at, so ample time for questions will be provided during the webinar.

  • Multiple references from CMS and other carriers
