Overtime and minimum wage regulations have been contentious topics in recent years. In 2017, proposed legislation was stalled due to legal actions initiated by several states. However, new legislation was introduced on April 23, 2024, with updates taking effect as soon as July 1, 2024. These changes to salary thresholds require employers to make critical decisions regarding the management of their exempt workforce. Additionally, many states have updated their overtime rules to be more favorable to employees, adding to the complexity.
This webinar, presented by industry expert Dayna J. Reum, CPP, will provide the latest information on federal and state overtime regulations. It will explain how to balance these regulations, ensuring employers accurately calculate overtime. Key topics will include minimum wage changes, legislative updates, and best practices for managing compliance with new requirements.
Attending this webinar will equip employers with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the recent changes in overtime and minimum wage legislation. Participants will gain insights into federal and state requirements, understand the impact of these changes, and learn best practices to handle compliance effectively.
