As we move on from celebrating the 56th anniversary of the passage of the Fair Housing Act, several new elements of actual and proposed fair housing compliance are in our path. At the national, state, and local levels, legislative bodies, governmental agencies and fair housing advocacy organizations are busy coming up with new rules, regulations, protected classes and interpretations that must inform our practice of fair housing.
This fast-paced 100-minute session will provide a comprehensive update on the most recent developments in fair housing compliance. During this session, Doug will cover the latest news from HUD, DOJ, the FTC, and several states, highlighting what they are doing, planning, and proposing that will affect compliance with the FHA and other relevant laws such as the FCRA.
